HUSAK, Ronald Gregory Passed away of cancer on Saturday April 9,
2005, with his family by his side at the age of 43. Ron will be deeply
missed by his wife Louise (nee Vanier) and three children Jillian, Brett
and Brock. He is also leaving behind his mother-in-law, brother-inlaws,
special niece Dawn, nephews, exceptional Aunts Anne Stainer
and Nellie Kush, uncles and cousins. Ron's many life long friends and
brothers from Local 1007 will miss him tremendously. Predeceased by
his father Harry (2002) who was an absolute Saint and his mother
(1994). Ron was a second generation Construction Millwright with
Local 1007 for 24 years. For over 14 years he sat on the executive
committee, apprentice committee and warden. Ron also served on the
Millwright Regional Council in Toronto for over 10 years as a delegate
and finally as a union Representative for Local 1007 for the last four
years. Ron had a passion for motorcycles and boating, which he
enjoyed with his friends and especially children. Special thanks to the
Palliative Care Unit at GNGH for the wonderful care they gave Ron.
Ron is at the Morse & Son Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 5917
Main Street where his family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral
home on Tuesday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Interment to follow at
Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust
fund which has been set up for Ron's children's education. Online guest
