Miss Margaret Ruba of Ludington and J. Olias Vanier of Sullivan Ind., were united in marriage at a ceremony solemnized by Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. Volkert at 7:30 this morning in the chapel of St. Joseph's seminary at Grand Rapids.

The bride had chosen the seminary chapel as the place for her marriage because it was there that her brother Rev. Joseph Ruba said mass for 15 years.

Witness at Ceremony:
The couple was attended by Miss Margaret Utz, niece of the bride, and Basil Vanier, brother of the bridegroom. Others witnessing the ceremony were Mrs. Mary Gullander of Ludington, sister of the bride, and Mrs Anna Vanier and Misses Amelia and Cecelia Vanier, mother and sisters of the groom.

The bride wore a becoming frock of brown velvet with hat and all acessories matching and carried a silver rosary, gift from the groom. Miss Utz was attired in blue velvet with a shoulder bouquet of Hill's roses.

Following the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Vanier and members of the wedding party, including Rev. Volkert, were guests at a wedding breakfast served at Morton hotel in Grand Rapids. There congratulations were showered on Mr. and Mrs. Vanier.

After the breakfast Mr. and Mrs. Vanier left on their wedding trip which will end at Sullivan, their future home.

Mrs. Vanier, a Mason county girl and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Mathias Ruba, is a graduate of Mercy hospital nurses' training school of Manistee and has been engaged in public health work most of the time since her graduation. She has filled engagements in Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Montana, New York, Ohio, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois.

Mr. Vanier is an attorney, employed with the firm of Hayes & Hayes of Sullivan.

Announcement Party Given
Announcement of the couple's betrothal, was made at Hotel Chippewa, Manistee. at a party given Oct. 19 by Margaret Utz. There, in a private dining room, the guests found a beautifully appointed table, centered with a bowl of chrysanthemum buds in autumn colors and Talisman roses as favots. Attached to placecards were tiny enveloppes containing the names, "Margaret Ruba and J. Olias Vanier".

Covers were laid for the honor guest, Misses Mae Hamel, Irma Kennedy, Myrtle Charon, Martha Carrier, Evelyn Voss, Josephine Korn, Mary McDonald and Mary Jebavy, Mrs. Katherline Allen and Miss Utz.

Monday evening Misses Mae Hamel, Myrtle Charon and Irma Kennedy entertained for the bride-to-be with dinner at Belland Bungalow and later cards were enjoyed at Miss Jebavy's home. Personnel included Miss Edith Olson ans all those who had been at the announcement party. The honor guest was presented with a gift.

Title: Gullander Rites Are Held Friday

Funeral services were held Friday morning Grand Rapids for Mrs. Mary Gullander former Ludington resident, who died Thursday morning in Grands Rapids. Interment was made this morning in Manistee.

She was a member of St. Simon's Altar society, of which she was, at one time, president.

Mrs Gullander is survived by a sister, Mrs. J. Olias Vanier of Sullivan, Ind., two brothers, George and Joseph Ruba of Victory and several nieces and nephews.
