Simon Gendron, b. 1711 parish of St-Andrew, diocese of Poitiers, province of Poitou, France,
enlisted as a soldier in the french army, came to Canada and was a soldier of the garrison of Fort Ponchartrain, Detroit, later became a merchant with his store on St-Ann street, buried 7 aug 1811, age 100 years, Detroit.
He is son of James Gendron and Mary Guyon
m 1st 8 jan 1748, Detroit to Suzanne Bienvenu dit Dellile (Delisle) born 19 nov 1722, Detroit, buried there 15 aug 1764,
daughter of Francis Bienvenu dit Dellile and Mary Ann Le Moyne, 1715 in Charlesbourg, buried 27 jun 1794 in Detroit,
