Sue Vanier, beloved wife of Gordon of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the age of 56 years.

Sue was raised in Fareham Hampshire, England. She started out as a factory worker and then because of her love of children became a nanny. She kept with the same career when she immigrated to Canada; she tried women’s retail before going back to caring for children and opening her own day-home. She will be remembered for being a caring and devotional wife, mother, and caregiver.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years, Gordon; her son, Kevin Vanier; her daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Kellen Rupert and their child Sam Rupert. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Janice and Richard Manning; and her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Dimmer and numerous extended family in Canada and England.

A special thank you to all our family and friends for their love and support. Also to the numerous doctors and medical professionals for caring for Sue over the years.
